Overview
Highline Power is a holding company focused on acquiring leading service providers within the power ecosystem and transforming them with a centralized AI-native operating system. Highline embeds its software engineers and operators into its owned businesses in order to develop and deploy AI grounded in their workflows, data, and expert judgment. Our novel approach is redefining the buy-and-build model for the AI-native generation. Over time, we’ll seek to expand into four power services verticals representing an $80 Billion TAM.
The AI-driven acquisition model is particularly necessary to solve the challenges facing the power industry. Rising power demand and stagnant labor supply are converging to form one of the most critical bottlenecks limiting the modernization of U.S. power infrastructure. Over the next decade, the grid can only keep pace with economic growth if the businesses that service it can do far more with the people they have.
However, many services businesses lack the capability and resources to realize the full potential of modern technology and professionalization opportunities that come with greater scale. By building and deploying AI across our businesses, we’re bringing the power of frontier model intelligence to the real services economy. Our holding company model means we are focused on creating long-term category leaders through intensive company involvement and growth investments.
Highline’s team today is comprised of leaders across power private equity (New Mountain Capital, $60B AUM), forward deployed engineering (Palantir), and growth & change management (Compass, Airbnb). The Investment Lead will report directly to the CEO and drive thesis development and M&A execution in a high agency and high velocity environment with exposure to business operations and developing frontier AI capabilities.
We are looking for analytical investors curious about operating at the forefront of AI. This role pairs rigorous private equity style underwriting with the entrepreneurial ethos and autonomy to own deal execution. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground floor of a well-capitalized endeavor to redefine business building in the power services industry.
