Before founding Highline, Zach spent the last 5 years at New Mountain Capital, where he co-led the firm's power services investing effort. New Mountain is one of the most active and successful investors in the space with $60 Billion Assets Under Management. While at New Mountain, Zach supported 4 platform investments representing $1B+ invested capital, and held a board seat at 2 of those portfolio companies. New Mountain successfully exited two of those investments in the last year. Zach is most proud of the proprietary value creation framework that New Mountain applied to “building great businesses”, resulting in double digit organic growth rates across all four of his portfolio companies.

Prior to New Mountain, Zach began his investing career at Court Square Capital Partners and before that, he was an investment banking analyst in the Industrials group at Citigroup.

Zach graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in finance. He is a co-founder and Board Chair of Hit the Books, a nonprofit after-school program in Harlem. He lives in New York City with his wife and their dog.

Andrew Rochat

Andrew began his tenure at Palantir on a $20M+ engagement with PG&E's wildfire mitigation team. He built and delivered an operational application that tasked linemen with inspecting high-risk electrical poles, meters, and customer equipment. This entailed creating an engine that calculated and scheduled inspections for field managers based on regulatory deadlines, fire threat risk, and other risk parameters. This project fostered an intimate knowledge and curiosity about the power services space and the complexity around customers, meters, and transformers.

He went on to lead several industrial partnerships from the ground up. At Supernal, Hyundai's eVTOL subsidiary, he owned end-to-end scoping and execution of 10 workflows totaling $10.5M. He managed a team of 7 that built business-critical system-of-record tools, including the company's asset manager, MRP, CMMS, and test management suite. These applications were used by 80% of the test and engineering organization on a daily basis.

At Sarcos, he architected and built a fleet management system responsible for bi-directional communication between the company and its robotics fleet. The fleet management system allowed customers to file tickets and enabled technicians to collect and view telemetry and fault data on their robots. It also owned the software and configuration artifacts of the fleet, and allowed technicians to push over-the-air updates.

In between these enterprise contracts, he surged on various short-term projects with Anduril, Northrop Grumman, and multiple commercial airlines.

Most recently, Andrew was part of Palantir for Builders, the firm's $30M+ startup practice, serving as technical backstop, lead architect, and advisor for dozens of early-stage companies. In certain cases, he would lead a surge to build out a high-priority use case over the course of weeks to months. Notably, he built a system for a Texas-based construction company that automated RFP creation and bid selection for contracted work. As technical lead of the Palantir Startup Fellowship, a subdivision of Palantir for Builders, he selected and mentored 25+ startups (per cohort) and directed 50+ Palantir engineers as mentors.

Andrew graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, where he double majored in computer science and finance. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Most recently, Ryan was Vice President of Operations and a member of the senior leadership team at Compass. He joined Compass in 2020 as Head of Operations for the East Region, then a $1B+ revenue business, and later led central and business operations, M&A integration, and a multi-year transformation of the brokerage as Compass scaled into the nation’s largest residential real estate brokerage. Ryan oversaw the integration of 10+ acquired brokerages onto the Compass technology platform and operating model, standardized operations across legacy and acquired businesses, and centralized key functions. He also built and led a 300+ person central operations organization supporting 30K+ agents and 400+ field offices across agent onboarding, agent support, sales enablement, revenue operations, marketing and creative, business operations, and workplace and facilities management. Across the broader transformation, agent cost-to-serve declined 40%+ from 2022 to 2024 while Compass maintained ~95% gross revenue retention and ~90% principal agent retention.

Ryan also owned pricing and agent economics and helped drive a ~40% increase in flat fees per agent while reducing agent marketing incentives from 3.5% to 1.8% of revenue from 2022 to 2025, a ~50% reduction.

Prior to Compass, Ryan was on the founding team of Airbnb Luxe, where he developed the supply acquisition GTM strategy and led expansion across 120+ markets. He later assumed broader responsibility for Airbnb Luxe supply, including acquisition, quality, performance, and retention. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at BCG.

Ryan holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Utah. He lives in New York City.
